Introducing the 2024 Hyundai Tucson, a compact SUV that fits seamlessly into your active lifestyle. With its versatile design and advanced features, the Tucson strikes the perfect balance between performance and practicality.

Exterior Features

Design Elements

This year’s Tucson sits on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 235/65 R17 tires. The roof features a shark-fin antenna, and a stylish rear spoiler improves aerodynamics on all trims in the lineup. The Tucson’s solar-controlled front glass prevents the cabin from overheating while the front windshield features acoustic lamination to minimize outside noise.

Lighting and Mirrors

Hyundai’s main headlights are LEDs with integrated LED turn signals and LED daytime running lights. The taillights feature standard bulbs and the Tucson’s rear boasts a high-mounted center stop lamp. Intelligent lighting systems, such as automatic headlights and High Beam Assist, come standard across all trims.

The side-view mirrors on the base-model Tucson SE are body-colored while higher trims, such as the Tucson Limited, feature premium accents, heating functions, and LED integrated turn-signal indicators.

Engine Specifications

Every Hyundai Tucson in this year’s lineup is equipped with an inline four-cylinder 2.5-liter DOHC 16-valve engine delivering 178 lb.-ft. of torque and 187 horsepower. All models this year come with front-wheel drive, with HTRAC all-wheel drive available as an option. HTRAC (Hyundai Traction) optimizes power distribution by analyzing torque needs at each wheel and adjusting accordingly for maximum traction.

Each robust engine is paired with an eight-speed SHIFTRONIC transmission, with shift-by-wire shifting offered as a standard feature on higher trims. All 2024 Tuscon models include the Drive Mode Select system and the Idle Stop and Go feature. Drive Mode Select offers Normal, Sport for dynamic handling, Eco for fuel efficiency, and Snow for enhanced traction on slippery surfaces. The Smart mode is our favorite, automatically adjusting to your driving habits.

Safety Systems

Stability and Traction

The Tucson is ready for any terrain with standard Vehicle Stability Management, Electronic Stability Control, a four-wheel disc anti-lock braking system, and Downhill Brake Control. These systems enhance traction on low-grip surfaces, keep your Hyundai on its intended path, prevent speeding up on downhill descents, and provide ample braking during emergencies.

SmartSense Safety

Each 2024 Tucson model, from the base to the top trim, comes with an array of advanced safety programs as standard features. These include Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Lane Following and Keeping Assist, Smart Cruise Control, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist.
